• Healing Cavities Naturally – Really?

** Update.  I no longer recommend consuming Fermented Cod Liver Oil after this whistleblower report.   RIP Ramiel Nagel, who died of cancer at only 38.   This post is about teeth.  We all have them (hopefully) and we generally spend as little time as possible thinking about them.  I’ve been thinking about mine more lately because they’ve been hurting.  Correction – they were hurting.  For several months.  I was dreading a return trip to the dentist because he didn’t really fix anything that was hurting last time.  I just ended up with two mercury fillings.  🙁   (Me, sleep-deprived b/c of a newborn, and a dentist trip didn’t mix real…

  • Mission Possible: Healthy Teeth! Installment #1

I have a love/hate relationship with my teeth. I love them simply because it would be near impossible to eat without them. My dislike comes in because, apparently, my teeth aren’t very strong. I brush them (and sometimes floss them) and still had lots of bad news at the dentist last month. (I try not to be jealous of my husband – he has NEVER had a cavity!). It was rather disheartening to be told by the dentist that I don’t have good teeth, as he’s filling two cavities and giving me two root canals (one of which got infected – augh!) After that series of expensive trips, I have…

After that digression, back to fluoride.  🙂 In our society, we’re told by a number of dentists and water authorities that fluoride is a helpful and necessary part of our diet.   While it *might* prevent a couple of cavities when used topically, the negative effects of fluoride are so overwhelming that it’s far better to utilize other methods for cavity prevention…

  • Our Vitamin Regimen

While I love having great resources for recovering from sickness, I’m a huge proponent of avoiding getting sick in the first place.  I bet you are too. We all have various methods for staying healthy; a big one for us is taking daily vitamins.  I want to share with you what our daily vitamin routine looks like (and include two others that I’d love for the kids to take, but they won’t cooperate just yet. 🙂  ) I’ve included lots of links because sometimes I want to see exactly what someone else does.  And since I can’t invite most of you over to look in my cupboard, this is the…
